Annual Giving Campaign (formerly Tomchei HaBayit) FAQ's
What is the Annual Giving Campaign? This is an approach that changes our financial relationship with supporters from a fee per program every month or two to a holistic approach that allows each member to make an ongoing commitment to the Bayit for the year instead of making a new donation for each program and fundraiser.
Do I have to make an initial commitment beyond Annual Membership Dues? No. Our goal is to provide as many options as possible for each member to support the Bayit in the manner that best matches their style and resources.
Whatever you choose to do, please click here to let us know your plans.
Which Bayit fundraisers that are included in my Annual Giving commitments?
Amudei Kiddush: New for 2025! An $1,800 annual commitment to Kiddush @ the Bayit ensures that costs are covered when there is no sponsor. Amudei Kiddush will be recognized on weeks when there is no sponsor and with a listing for each Celebration Kiddush to mark their special moments during the year. Amudei Kiddush is included in your Boneh or Yoseid gift. For those not ready to jump from Tomeich to Boneh, committing to Amudei Kiddush is a great midpoint!
Annual Membership Dues: Dues for 2025 are $1850 for 2-adult households and $925 for Single Adult Households. Not yet a member? Visit thebayit.org/membership to learn more and join!
High Holiday Seats: Seats for Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur for members of your household are included with your Tomeich or higher gift. Additional seats for extended family and friends are billed at the member rate.
Mishloach Manot: Each year for Purim, the Bayit prepares Mishloach Manot for members to raise money for the Bayit and Matanot L'evyonim. Participants can choose to send to specific members, or, for $500, choose send to all members.
Annual Dinner & Ad: Join us at the Annual Dinner in June - details to follow. Visit thebayit.org/dinner to see info about our past Dinners.
Yizkor Book (Book of Remembrance): Each year for Shavuot, the Bayit creates a book with the Bayit's specific tefillot for liturgy and the names of members' loved ones who have passed as a memorial. The book is used for Yizkor on Shavuot, Yom Kippur, Shmini Atzeret and Pesach.

What else do I need to know?
The Annual Giving initiative is focused on tax-deductible contributions. Fees for service or materials charges such as room rentals, shabbat or yom tov meals, cemetery plots and girls softball are not included.
While attendance at the Annual Dinner and an ad in the Journal are included in your gift, if you make your gift from a Donor Advised Fund, there is an IRS requirement to pay for the dinner directly. Please contact the office to find out the specific cost per person.
Our mortgage is currently $3.45mm and our annual payments for principal and interest total $261,000. Your additional gift to our capital campaign will allow us to make additional principal payments to pay down our outstanding balance and reduce future expenses.
