Rabbi Zachary Truboff is the Director of the International Beit Din Institute for Agunah Research and Education, a halachic think tank dedicated to addressing the agunah problem. In this role, he directs the Institute’s research agenda, engages in public education, contributes to the writing and editing of IBD teshuvot, and develops comprehensive halachic analysis of Jewish divorce. He is the author of Torah Goes Forth From Zion: Essays on the Thought of Rav Kook and Rav Shagar, and is writing a Guide to Jewish Divorce, to be published in 2026. Rabbi Truboff received rabbinic ordinations from Yeshivat Chovevei Torah and from Rav Zalman Nechemia Goldberg. Before making aliyah, he served for nearly a decade as the rabbi of Cedar Sinai Synagogue in Cleveland, Ohio. He lives in Jerusalem with his wife, Jen, and their four children.
